An average of 1 billion denim pants are produced every year around the world.

For each trousers, it is estimated that approximately 7,500 lt of water is consumed as the sum of agriculture, fabric production and trousers production.

When we look at the last 15 years, we estimate that the usage rate has doubled and the usage time has decreased by 40%. When we look at these data, we take more, and in proportion to this, we use what we receive for a shorter period of time.

Every year, $460 billion worth of productsare sent to incineration or waste facilities. Research shows that the recycling rate is around 1%.

When we look at the cotton fields, these fields take up 2.4% of the arable land, but only 16% of the pesticide is used for cotton production.

It has been proven by numerical data that an average of5,000 people die every daydue to pesticides.

We can say that this issue is the same for pollution in the seas. According to research, the amount of plastic found in the seas is increasing rapidly every year.

When we look at the Pacific Ocean as an example, a 3.5 million km2 continent ofplastichas already formed. However, if the rate of consumption and waste continues in this way, it is expected all over the world that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the seas.

As a solution to this problem, the Circular Economy model should be put into practice as soon as possible.

When we look at thelast 5 years, sustainability awareness finds its place in every stage of the textile industry.
